Internal family Systems

"Part of me feels one way while another part feels differently"

Internal Family Systems Therapy is based on working with the internal "parts" of ourselves that become prominent in certain situations or relationships. We might be "the good daughter", "the diligent student" or "the efficient employee" when these roles are appropriate. Our "parts" can also take on a negative role such as a critical, insecure, or addicted "part" preventing us from living a more fulfilled life.

IFS helps us to understand, and bring compassion to our "parts" and their role in our life. We can then begin to feel less fragmented and more integrated in our thoughts and beliefs. This integration brings us into the present with a renewed sense of possibility.
